Thoughts on slavery in SL Gor

As I have been traveling Gor on Second Life as of late, I have noticed a disturbing trend. The part time or the "when I feel like it" kajira. No I am not referring to those who use alts, that is for another day. What I refer to is the slave who comes on-line as a slave yet only wants to serve and be pleasing if they feel like it. This attitude is fostered especially on second life because of the ease in which slaves are collared. If you come in as a naked female in Gor (or clothed and breathing), you will have a collar faster then a New York minute if you want it. This has fostered an attitude amongst some kajira that the Free are there to entertain them, as opposed to the other way around.

It can be as simple as girl who does a mediocre serve, to a girl who loses complete interest in her service and is stuck in IM's and such. When a supposedly fully trained kajira can not even accomplish a simple kalana serve, then there is something wrong in Sl Gor. Their attitude is take it or leave it. My attitude is this, that they should be punished or should get out of Gor.

The solution is strict training and discipline. I for one will not accept that behavior from any slave. If that makes them run off like a two year old on a tantrum, then so be it. The behavior should be corrected, and will be by me when I see it. This leads to a secondary problem I have seen in SL Gor, which is the attitude that if you expect a slave to serve or be disciplined you are too cruel. Second Life Gor encourages the Free to be weak towards slaves. Some can put on a great game playing the oh so mean "Master." However when push comes to shove, they will fold up like a cheap camera for anything with a collar on their neck. They will even go so far as to attack verbally any Free that dare treat a slave as a slave and expect them to be pleasing. You find these type of Free Men mostly in the "World of Gorcraft" combat Gor sims, but they are every where it seems, these days.

My advice to all Free Men is to be just that, a man. True kajira come to SL Gor to be dominated, controlled, trained, and yes, dare I say it....MASTERED! Do not fear being the Master you are, let him out, and do not be ashamed. This is Gor, and Gor is harsh, even if it is Second Life Gor.

I agree. It seems that the slaves have enslaved the masters. Disappointing, really.

There is no risk in calling a master by his name, in public. Maybe if the so called Masters can throw off their chains...

I hope things will improved as more Free and slaves speak out on this issue.

The only thing I found wrong with this was in the last paragraph:

"Do not fear being the Master you are, let him out, and do not be ashamed."

I think a larger problem than part time kajira is wanna-be masters. They demand improper use of grammar, wear tags over their heads that identify them as "Master", and quite a few other obvious ticks.

As a dominant that has spent the better part of 15 years in the D/s lifestyle, I can tell you, most slaves will find it hard to respect a so-called master if that person isn't for real (and masters who are just playing at it are so transparent). Playing master is one thing, that's what roleplay is about, living it is something completely different. Not everyone has an inner master just itching to get out. I would wager that the majority of the men in SL Gor are playing a role. But in the same respect, not all slaves are submissive. I would, in turn, say the majority of the slaves are playing a role. And because it is play, it's up to them how they play it.

Just my two cents, for what it is worth.

Oh, and:

"However when push comes to shove, they will fold up like a cheap camera for anything with a collar on their neck."

Bravo! Well said!!! A huge pet peeve of mine!!!
